Backstage Crew

The Backstage Crew, chaired by Lani Meek & Kimberly Kirklin, is a diverse community of young singles and couples who share a passion for the theatre and volunteer their time and abilities to actively promote Magic City Actors Theatre and develop new audiences corresponding to the Crew and Star Levels. Assist in fundraising activities when directed (or approved) by the board as well as strengthening ties with the Birmingham community by participating in special projects. In conjunction with providing volunteer services, Backstage Crew members have an opportunity to become familiar with the backstage world of the theatre, enjoy productions and attend dress rehearsals when seats are available and attending social events.

Membership includes a tax-deductible donation, which helps support the work of Magic City Actor's Theatre productions! Active members pay $50 per person or $90 per couple. All active members participate in at least two fund raising activities. Another way to support Magic City Actors Theatre is to be a sustaining member, which is $65 per person.
