EDUCATION

Long has performance been underestimated, as a tool for expression and empowerment. We strive to provide and develop programs within our community, for children and adults alike. As a company we never cease to learn, and want to utilize our skills as individuals by sharing the joy our passions provide.

Education is vitally important and we believe that exposure to the arts can provide an outlet for young students that might never had that sort of opportunity. More students need exposre to the and training in the performing arts. In the summer of 2008 we launched our first Summer Workshop!

Luann - Scenes in a Teen's Life was a smashing success, both for MCAT and the young people involved in the workshop. A wonderful experience for instructors and students alike. Please check out our Gallery for pictures of the show, and check below for testimonials.

We have many plans in the works to extend our educational programs, and make them readily available to everyone.

We have announced our 2009 Summer Workshops and the show that will be related to the Teen Workshop.

OUTREACH

Partnerships with other non-profits are just another way MCAT loves to give back. Starting in our first season, we have partnered with various other non-profits to help fundraise and create awareness of those other Non-Profits. Steel Magnolias gave us excellent opportunity to work with The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Our board members launched into the community harnessing support and providing information about JDRF, and the fantastic work they do. The response was phenomenal! Birmingham has passion and we have passion for Birmingham.

Please check below to see who we have worked with so far. Click on the organizations for links to their websites.
